Toha Chuk (Toe-ha Chook) , aka Chuk, is an oversized Dutch Warmblood who came to us in April of 2016 badly emaciated with horrendous body scarification from being physically harmed by other horses. Chuk is a bit socially awkward so he doesn’t interact much with all our human visitors. It takes a certain calm to attract him as he is very discerning. But if he chooses to like someone, he likes with his whole heart! Chuk has some chronic health issues like arthritis but he still seems to be enjoying the final days of his life on the pasture with his buddies. He is especially fond of our mini, Chey, and they spend their days walking around the pasture and eating together. She is the same age, and it was love at first sigth. Chuk looks forward to treats once a day and loves to eat! His name means ‘one who is both day and night/black and white’.
