Kelli Montgomery began serving as the MISS Foundation’s executive director in 2012. She helped stabilize the organization’s finances, establish the annual Selah retreat for bereaved parents, as well as the Compassionate Bereavement Care Certification Program which trains medical and mental health providers from around the world in traumatic grief. She works with MISS Foundation volunteers to provide ongoing services and support to increasing numbers of grieving families. She and her husband Richard joined the MISS Foundation in 2007 as the national congressional liaisons following the death of their daughter Madeleine. In coordination with MISS, the couple has advocated awareness and appropriations through the U.S. Congress and the National Institute of Child Health & Human Development to continue and further the stillbirth and infant death research that the MISS Foundation initiated in 2003. The couple lives in Austin TX with their second child Alaina, who turned 11 in August.
