Matt and Teresa (Terri) Latham have been married since 2003. They lived and worked near Washington, DC for several years before relocating to Cincinnati. Soon after moving to Cincinnati in 2006, they were thrilled to learn that they were expecting their first child, Luke. Sadly, on the day after Easter of 2007, they were informed that their beloved Luke was gone forever. He was stillborn the following day, and not a day has passed since that his parents don't miss him with all of their hearts.

In the days and months following Luke's death, Terri and Matt were in awe of the strength and support they received from strangers who came out of the woodwork to offer their own stories of loss and of hope and have spent the past several years trying to do the same for other families experiencing the death of a child. While they will always grieve their son's death, they feel he lives on through their efforts to support others.

Terri and Matt have since added to their family. Their second son, Andy, was born in February of 2008, and they welcome their third baby, Jude, in October of 2010. Terri is also the sibling of a stillborn child, Marion, who was born on April 27, 1977. Luke and Marion are buried side by side near Terri's childhood home in the suburbs of New York City.

Terri has a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Law & Society from American University and a master's degree in Counseling from Marymount University. She is an independently licensed psychotherapist and currently works in psychiatric and neuroscience research. Matt has a Bachelors of Landscape Architecture from the Ohio State University and practices as a Landscape Architect in Cincinnati.
