Miscarriage Programs Director

Melissa Brock, professionally, a Real Estate Administrator for Staubach Global Services, where I manage a portfolio of 415 Blockbuster stores. I consider myself blessed to work for a company that shares my same Melissa Brockvalues-Integrity, Respect, Teamwork, Balance, and Leadership. Although I enjoy my current profession, I'm looking forward to sending my middle child to school, at that time, I plan to return to college, and obtain my Nursing License-a lifelong dream.
Personally-the wife of Eddie, a wonderful husband who supports me in all that I do, and the mother of four-Braxton, Shelby, Colt & Katsie. No stranger to death, I lost my Dad (44) at the age of 14, he had a heart attack while pitching a softball game. Years later I experienced the loss of a child to miscarriage-our lives would be forever changed. I found little, if any, resources in my area for mothers who had miscarried so for several years, losing Shelby was not mentioned outside of our family. I am driven to change that, I want to be able to provide a place where women who have miscarried, whether it be at 6 weeks or 12, or 18, have a safe place to come, share their story, remember the child they lost, and most importantly, know that they are not alone. I have been through RTS Training for Pregnancy Loss and Newborn Death, and look forward to working with M.I.S.S.
Currently I am the Chapter President of a group that provides clothing for premature or ill infants in the NICU, as well as layettes for babies lost to miscarriage, stillbirth, or neonatal death. I founded our chapter in November 2002, and to date we have donated more than 1,100 items to four local hospitals.
