HOPE Mentor

Katje is a home-schooling mother of four and lives in the north-west area of Chicago. She has been a doula for over 20 years, and lost two children to miscarriage (in 2000 and 2002). In the course of her doula work, she has been asked to support a number of families through several types of loss, and decided to join the MISS Foundation to continue this work. She is honored and humbled to be called to this service, and feels all lives deserve dignity and respect, no matter how long they are destined to be among us. She is interested in art therapy as a way to support grieving parents.
