I
would like to introduce myself to the MISS Foundation and it’s many families and members so that I may become less of a stranger in this intimate space and more of a humble guest, learning and growing by the grace of your experiences.
I am currently an intern at Arizona State University studying to receive my Master’s Degree in Social Work along with a graduate certificate in Trauma and Bereavement Therapy. Prior to returning to school I worked in the social service field for several years serving populations such as children in foster care, victims of domestic violence, homeless individuals and children with and families with a history of trauma.
In addition to this experience, I am a certified yoga instructor and a certified yoga therapist. I believe deeply in the healing qualities of this ancient tradition and am excited to share this expertise with anyone that is interested. I believe that by addressing the mind, body and soul profound effects can be experienced by an individual as they continue on their journey of understanding, healing and growing in this life.
I am honored to be given this opportunity to walk beside you, share with you and learn from your wisdom as we all continue down our paths. Whether it be pain, peace, solace or joy that is shared with one another, I will hold every moment and memory in a sacred place in my heart as long as I have the privilege to be present here with you.
