Life is now divided into two time periods for Christine and her husband, Noel: before and after. Before December 14, 2007, she thought she had it all- loving husband, good job, nice house, and baby on the way. Life changed that day when she woke up and didn't feel her baby moving. After a trip to the hospital, it was confirmed that her baby no longer had a heartbeat, at 36.5 weeks gestation, despite the fact that she had an ultra-sound and NST the day before and passed everything with flying colors. Her baby girl, Hannah, was born later that day via c-section and it was determined that she most likely died of a double nuchal cord that cinched as her little girl was trying to turn.

Life after is much different then life before. While she has learned to live with the death of her daughter, the death of her baby changed the way she looks at the world. The ramifications of her daughter's death still ripple through her life and her grief journey is still evolving. She is thankful that she has been able to have two healthy baby boys since Hannah's death and they are her greatest joy in life. But when she looks at their faces, she always wonders about Hannah and what should have been. She is thankful for all that she has today, but she still wishes she could hold all three of her babies in her arms.
